04.01.08 - Tempest Fireco Towers Announces Completion of NFPA 1901 Compliance Review

Tempest Fireco Towers, LLC announced successful completion of a compliance review for their pneumatically telescoping towers in accordance with the requirements of NFPA 1901.  In March 2008, the company was informed that its’ vertical tower product meets criteria set forth by the NFPA to qualify for the Total Vehicle Assessment Program (TVA), established by Underwriters Laboratories (UL).

05.01.07 - TEMPEST FIRECO TOWERS ANNOUNCES AWARD OF PREFERRED PARTNERSHIP

Tempest Fireco Towers, LLC announced it has been selected by LDV, Inc. to be the preferred supplier of vertical towers for their Command and Communication vehicles. LDV is the leader in integrated mobile solutions; providing Homeland Security vehicles and specialized interiors to a multitude of industries. Tempest Fireco pneumatic telescoping towers will be mounted on LDV customer’s vehicles to support lighting, video, communications and other data gathering systems.

03.12.07 -TEMPEST ANNOUNCES INTRODUCTION OF NEW VARIABLE SPEED ELECTRIC BLOWER

Tempest Technology, Inc. announces the introduction of a new blower line: the VSX Series of Variable

Speed Electric Blowers. A high powered electric option, the VSX series produces CFM levels comparable to most 3.5 hp to 5.0 hp gasoline powered blowers. The VSX series was available for viewing for the first time at the Firehouse World show in San Diego, CA the week of February 26, 2007.

04.25.05 - TEMPEST ANNOUNCES DELIVERY OF MOBILE VENTILATION UNIT (MVU) TO THE CHICAGO FIRE DEPARTMENT
Tempest Technology, Inc. announced the delivery of a Mobile Ventilation Unit (MVU) to the Chicago Fire Department. Put into service in April, the hydraulically powered MVU was acquired by the City of Chicago for the application of Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) during fire attack for high rise buildings and subway and auto tunnels. This is the sixth unit to be delivered by Tempest in the United States and the fortieth World Wide.
